Default *** 1968 Corvette Roll Call ***

With all the 1968 Corvette thread activity on the Forum lately - trying to keep track of the members here who owns '68s. I know a few but am sure there are lots more. If you own one (or 2 or 3 or more) let me know - coupe/ convertible, drivetrain combo, etc.... Love the 68s'. Thanks for your time..

I haven't posted in a while and my progress has slowed quite a bit, but I've got a '68 Vert / SRIII frame project...I recently retired from the AF and moved to CA for my new job...here's a quick pic as I picked it up from paint and moved it to CA. Hopefully have it all assembled soon...interior and tuning are the next big steps.

Here is mine. Used and abused by others. Wrong hood, interior, radiator, transmission, rear spring and that's just the obvious stuff. The rear compartment doors were a stair tread...yes a friggin wood stair tread! Working on fixing it though.

Well.....it's a matching numbers 1968 Roadster!

To further explain.......the numbers on the title and registration MATCH the VIN numbers on the driver's windshield pillar

Other than that.........it seems that she went through lots of botched "plastic surgery"................................

Hopefully one day it will look like a '68!

68 arctic white coupe with red interior. Was a 327/350, that is sitting in garage, very tired. Now a ZZ4 350 with 355HP/405Ft lbs. torque. 4 speed with 3:70 rear gears. Next month I will have had it for 42 years.

68 convertible here. 327/350. 4 speed, 3.70 posi. Going through a full restoration. Have had it for 3.5 years. Just putting finishing touches on a new garage to complete the work in. Body is loose from frame put have no place to put it. Wife won't let me put her car out of our attached garage during the winter months, so she agreed I needed my own space. Gotta love that. I've completed most of what I could. My attic is like Christmas Eve before Santa comes.

I'm here....1968 Silver/Gunmetel 427 390 Auto. the first pic is how it looked when I got it. I rebuilt the chassis, pulled the motor to freshen things up, installed a dewitts rad. with fans. 18" rally wheels. and a ton of others. Whats left is stripping the body for paint......Though it may look good in the pics the paint is bubbling. I'm going to drive it as is for a few years before paint. I have a few other projects I'd like to get into before putting 10k into paint.

1968 Corvette convertible w/Dark Blue Vinyl & Black Vinyl hardtop. Was originally a 327/350hp w/K66 trans ignition, M-21 4spd. Been running a '73 L-48 since 1990. Have it dressed up to look like the original L-79. Original engine in the corner of the garage on a stand. Also a P01 hubcap, pwr steer & pwr brake am-fm radio car.
