Default goodrich/cooper ?

Time for tires.

Saw where coopers 255 60 15 can be had for 50$ less than goodrich ta.

Anyone have experience with the coopers?

Did a search but no result.

I've had both and either is great. The Coopers are probably more available as Goodrich doesn't seem to be making regular production runs of theirs.

I've got Coopers on my '73 and like them a lot. Also had them on my truck and liked them much better than the off brand I have now.

Is the "BF Goodrich" name worth $50 more to you than having "Cooper" on your sidewalls? If not, buy the Cooper's. Simple as that. The tires themselves are about the same.

My '71 coupe had Cooper tires on it when purchased. I drove it for a while that way. But, when an 'opportunity' arose, I replaced them with BFG T/A's. I just think they "play better in Peoria" than the Coopers.

if you're buying 15'' tires just buy the cheapest ones you can find. they are all all season tires and none of them will provide a noticeable difference in performance compared to the others.

I just put on coopers Friday after years of running BFG's. Went with the cooper's for the price and availability. No one had the BFG's in stock.

Have Coopers now and have had BFG on other cars in the past. Both are good tires, but as 7T1Vette said, they are basically the same in terms of performance, handling etc. I'm happy with the Coopers. Part of this was the cost savings at Discount Tire - Coopers were $80 less on a set of 4.

Another "" for the Coopers. Put a set on my '76 seven months ago and they've worked out very well. Good handling tires, IMO.
