I bought this car in May of 1979 at a dealers auction about 15 miles north of Pittsburgh. It had obviously been traded in and the dealer didn't want to bother with it. He also didn't know anything about the history or the previous owner. This is what it looked like when I brought it home.
I drove it that summer and during the winter I stripped it, painted it black and bolted on a tunnel ram.
I still own it and it still has that black paint today though it's getting pretty rough. The tunnel ram is gone and a zz502 has replaced the 350. This is what it now looks like.
So, does anyone remember ever seeing a pink '69 corvette?
I've never seen a pink corvette, in person, but would love to see more pics of your car with the hood up and the doors opened so we can see the interior.

The engine that was in the car when I bought it was a CE 1970 LT-1. I'm assuming that the original motor was replaced under warranty. The current motor is a .030 over 502 with small chamber GM performance aluminum rectangular port heads. I still have the LT-1 on a stand in the garage.
Off topic, but I used to see a pink 75 or 76 coupe in Modesto CA (late '80s). Was told it as a while pearl over Porsche Guards Red...probably the coolest color I've ever seen. I've seen a very similar looking car in some of the CA cruise pics, so who knows?
By the way I had a '67 Camaro painted eerily similar to your '69 but in a maroon...even had airbrushed pics of itself under a street light on its rear pillars... I changed it to black too

The scene on the back deck was a pic of itself floating over a graveyard where there were headstones with Ford Chrysler and Dodge written on them. It bothered me a little when I slathered that first bit of stripper on it. Someone spent a **** load of time painting it all, but I just couldn't drive it like that anymore.
The only thing I remember from seeing the original title was that the previous owners first name was Jodie. I'm assuming Jodie was a girl, which would explain the pink.

Hey, just be glad the interior wasn't pink! Great looking car now. Nice looking setup in the engine bay, as well.
I think it's a Hurst Competition Plus but I honestly don't remember. I replaced the original back in the early 80's. I did heat the handle just below the ball and bend it forward. The switch is for a line lock. I used to take it to the drag strip occasionally.
