76 Vette Ordered suspension kit finally making progress on me restore. Questions are for the engine bay what type of paint should i use and second can i get different colors other then black? Bought some rustoleum paint would that work?

Not sure what you're asking. Factory blackout paint was a cheap semi-flat black lacquer.
Choice of a different color would be up to you if judging is not a concern for you.

The semi-flat black Krylon paint comes in 2 versions.
#1613 is actually lacquer and is easy to use, covers well, and is easy to touch up. Restorers have been using it for 25 years.
#51613 is enamel and not nearly as good as the #1623, and is difficult to re-coat and touch up.
The #1613 is difficult to find locally…. maybe Sherwin Williams (you have to ask for it). The #51613 is readily available at many stores.

I get my Krylon from one of the online industrial suppliers. http://www1.mscdirect.com/CGI/NNSRIT...RM=Krylon+1613 I usually get a case. It goes fast.
