Well to be fair to Rock Auto, I haven't sent mine back yet. I need to get under there and change it with the new one still.
Just to keep everyone up to date, new part installed this weekend and working perfectly.
Got the warranty papers from Rock Auto and the Fedex Pre-paid return documents, package goes back tonight....very smooth transaction.
Don't know if they will be at Carlise but I bought my valve and cylinder and new hoses from Muskegon Brake. Very reasonable, fast shipping and work great.
Yep, Jeff and Andrew will be there.
I just ordered a whole kit(valve, pump, slave and hoses) that they will bring to Carlisle for me. Bringing the cores, too--Exchange one leaky mess for a former one!
I am going to Carlisle for the show and parts. One of the main things I want to get is a new/rebuilt P/S control valve. I will be bringing my old one with me for a core. Who the best vender to get a a new/rebuilt one ?
opinions please ?
Oh, and no I am not rebuilding mine myself, Murphy's law told me not to
Murphy's Law told me to use a brand new one as well Scrappy.
It turned out to have a rolled lip seal; it never was able to center and operate properly. I was treated with having to remove it and rebuild it myself, while wasting fluid, effort, and time.
Unless it's been previously installed & tested, I don't trust them.
