Questions on a 1977
I recently traded an old Plymouth for a 1977 L-82.
The 77 is in pretty nice shape but I noticed something
a little odd about it.
It has all of the options that a 1978 Pace Car has
including front and rear spoilers, glass T-Tops, and
Pace Car seats.
I suppose someone could have been going for the
Pace Car or Anniversary car look, but its not painted
That way, and I was under the impression that Pace Car
seats are somewhat rare.
Any thoughts?

Everything you mention could have been added by a previous owner if they were going for the Pace Car look. Installing the glass tops would have required hardware changes on the halo panel, but not rocket science.

I almost put on a rear '78 pace car spoiler - I'm kinda grateful the painter had no idea what he was doing at certain times, and the rear spoiler was one of those. I did try to use side skirts, and ended up cutting those up for the side pipes. I did leave the chin strap on it, though. Loved that low-hanging line.
Anyway, if that much has changed on the car, be wary of other things that have probably been modified. As time goes on, you'll find things that act differently.
