Hood anger..
It won't open !, the cable isn't broken, I can hear the latch moving but only the right side pops up, I should've left it alone, I was doing minor adjustments to even out the gap and now,
how can I get it open…?
how can I get it open…?

What year? On my 70 if the right side pops up that means the latch on both sides is working correctly.

I got it to open !!, mine is a '74 and the cable release is on the underside of the hood, if there's not a hole to access the latch, there soon may be..

On my '74, I managed to get the hood very stuck. To get it open I first had to pop the passenger side using a very long pliers from the underside (through the engine compartment.) You can get the pliers on the cable and yank the latch open.
I loosened the hood hinge bolts (again from underneath.)
I then used the hole by the wipers to hold the driver's side latch open with a long-ish piece of steel while a couple of friends shimmied the hood around to get it to line up with the striker.
An inspection camera made finding the latch through the hole a whole lot easier.
I don't know if there's an easier way, but this definately works.

I too locked my hood but it was due to alimgnment issue and I moved the locking mechanism too much and when hood shut it was not enough slack to pop open so I had to take bolt of hinge in order to get enough play to pry hood open was a real pain but now I know how to get it open by any means necessary.

I took the hood off the hinges on the front, then lifted the front propped it with furniture blankets and got the latches open.
Hood is still leaning against the wall in the dining room wrapped in a furniture blanket.
What's the point of a chrome air cleaner and chrome valve covers if no one can see them?
Hood is going to go back on, some day. For the time being it's fun to drive and no one else seems to care anyway.

Well, some places it is illegal to drive around without a hood, they gotta make revenue somehow…, after many slight adjustments, it now opens and closes very good now.
