While not the most ideal lights for painting... they'll have to do on my budget
I made the wall ones removalable very easy but I like having them... I give it a week or so before I hit one and bust the bulbs Then I'll take them down until I'm ready for painting.
Looks like sunglasses are in order in there! I need to add some lights in my garage.
I bought those lights on a whim. I was at HD and they had them and man were they bright!!! next to all the others the High Outputs were amazing. ... but were $50each and I didn't want to pay that much.
Went on ebay and found someone selling them(without the bulbs) for $40.... still too high.
BUT. There was a "make Offer" button....so i said I'd buy 8 of them at $22/ea figuring they'd turn me down....well crap...they accepted and I was obligated to buy lol. Bought a box of 25bulbs and here I am! With paint booths I know you want more lights and not necessarly powerful ones. But I also don't own the house so I have to put everything back as it was when done. and these seemed easier than a billion small lights.
Here are some before/after from this past winter when I got the 4 in the ceiling put in. When the garage door is up 2 of them are blocked so it's not as bright as I'd like with the door up.
Color temperature is the "shade of white". A lower value is more "warm" (brown light, like halogen or a candle flame), a higher value is more cold (blue light, like Xenon HID lights).
Lumens is the intensity.
Sunlight is approx 5500K color temp. I don't think you're too far off, but it'll look just a bit different when you take it out on a sunny day. Looks like yours is closer to an overcast day.
Now you have inspired me to brighten up my new garage. With winter closing in I also need some HEAT. Love the lights and bright is good.

Heat is key! I do VERY little in the winter due to it being too cold in the garage and somewhat because I'm too lazy to heat the garage with my tiny heater. Also dusty body work is a pain when you need tons on ventilation.
But the lighting does make me feel good every time i go to the garage.

Reminds me of that AC/DC song, just the one line:
"....let there be light... and there was light....let there be sound...and there was sound...."

Besides the light it looks like you are doing a great job on the body work. All paint looks removed and ready for priming. What kind of paint system are you thinking. I am a retired cabinet maker and plan to use my HVLP sprayer to do the engine compartment and interior priming. I"ll shoot you a picture.

So far i'm going with the popular SPI paint system for epoxy, bedliner(undercoating), and clear. Not sure about the color yet.
The SPI site so far is awesome for info since i'm a first time painter.
I'll probably go with an expensive iwata or sata gun for base/clear. For now i have the popular primer gun recommended there. A 2.3 vaper for $40
The thing i like a out SPI is their website and forum are informative, their product descriptions are easy for a beginner to understand, and if they dont have a dealer near you they ship your order for free. I got a gallon of epoxy, gallon of activator, gallon of wax/ grease remover for $200...seemed like a good deal.
