Default What's it worth?

I am toying with the idea of selling my 72 Stingray to get a 65-67 or a newer style C5/C6 vette. The car has 21809 miles on it now. 454 (Non matching) with 2000 miles on the rebuild (head work, bored .030 over, big cam, ceramic headers, new exhaust, etc. also new brakes, calipers, radiator, alternator and a few other things. Transmission has been replaced with a Doug Nash 5 speed. Looking for a best guess on value. Interior is all original and would rate a 8/10 and exterior 9/10. Only thing not working is the windshield wipers (never seen the rain). Hagarty shows the value around $28-$30K but not sure if that is an all stock numbers matching car, etc. i am also not sure how accurate their estimates are. Thanks!

Also might be open for trades too (C5/C6).

When you decide what you want for the car, post another thread in the For Sale section with an asking price per forum rules. Meanwhile, I'll move your worth discussion to the General discussion area.

Thats a pretty wide range.

OP, I think Hagarty's 28-30 range would not include an NOM with a custom hood, aftermarket trans and other changes.

Hagerty's valuations are an average of what the cars are actually selling for (most likely what they are being insured for) and I've found them to be reasonably accurate but you have to do a little math with them.

NOM subtract money
AC add money
4-speed add money
Auto subtract money
Yada, yada

if I were looking, and I saw and ad for it for 23K, I would be interested.. 28k? probably not. it would have to be rust free..

original big block car? ( its in the VIN )

get the wipers working. the less excuses, the more you will get.
