HELP! Can anyone tell me how difficult it is to replace the heater core in a 74 non A/C vert?
Thanks

This was many years ago for me with my former 1979 but it will give you some ideas.

It's a 3 to 4 hr. job, but I'd recommend getting the heater box seal kit to reseal it entirely. This will increase the your time to do the job, you'll like the outcome. T

I think Terry is thinking of the job with A/C. I have done that miserable job twice (6-8 hours for me). Out the front without A/C can be done in an hour or so.

It took me an afternoon to do it on my 70 a few years ago. I know people say it can all be done from the engine side, but that was not my experience. I couldn't get the new heater core into place without reefing on it. I ended up taking the passenger side dash and gauge cluster out. Just go slow and don't force anything.
