Water Diverters?

Where in the Assembly Manual can I find these?

http://www.ebay.com/itm/1973-1977-C3-CORVETTE-WATER-DIVERTERS-/181246606420?pt=Motors_Car_Truck_Parts_Accessories&hash=item2a3323bc54&vxp=mtr
Thanks.

Steve, I`m not sure where they are in the AIM, but they go under the rear of the door sill....

That`s it to the far left edge of the sill plate....

Ahh....I got it. Channels runoff that gets by the door & window seals huh.
Looks like a good option in your state. Sure ain't enough rain around here in SoCal to justify a set for me.

Thanks for the info!

The water diverters were first used in 74 I believe, not 73 as stated in the eBay ad, and continued to be used through 82.

There were 3 versions of them. The ones pictured in the eBay listing, were used from 74-77. The change from the wide 68-77 sill plates, to the narrow 78-82 sills, required the diverters to be redesigned. A larger, second design diverter, was used in 78 and early 79, and must not have worked well, as a third design was used from late 79 through 82.

There was also a diverter used somewhere around 69, 70, 71, 72 and/or 73 on Corvettes. Instead of being aluminum with a rubber flap on the edge, like the later ones, they were fiberglass. The early diverters were just a narrow (3/4" wide maybe) fiberglass piece, installed about an inch or two above the sill plate, on the lock pillar.

That`s what`s on my 71.... about 3/4" strip of fiberglass, riveted on.
