I'm in NY.
Size 28 x 30. I insulated the entire garage / shop. the door is insulated + 1" foil backed foam on the door, thermo windows.
I have 30" of baseboard with hot water. I ran 3/4 pipe underground from the boiler to the shop. (30')
I have some machines and the vettes + paint and other things I don't want frozen.
I keep it at 45 during the winter and have a 8k A/C for the summer.
I can get to 65 in 2 hours and cool to 75 in the summer in about the same.
No issues with moisture and no worry of vapor / explosion issues.
The vettes have vented gas caps.
I do recommend a ceiling fan to heat the floor as it will stay cold during the winter as heat rises.
If I ever build another shop it will have PECKS in floor heat -
