Hey guys....I have a question about battery size. I have a '69 with the 427 390 engine with some minor upgrades. I replaced my battery last summer and ever since I've had some minor issues starting it. Basically it doesn't seem like it has enough power to crank it a few times. For example, last weekend I decided to take it out for the first time since Corvettes at Carlisle. I put my battery charger on it to make sure it was fully charged. It took a little bit of effort to get it started and after about 3 or 4 attempts (of a maybe 2 or 3 cranks each), I had to put the battery charger back on it. Even if it starts on the first try, I'm fearful going anywhere and turning the car off unless I've driven a decent amount of time first. I keep forgetting to look at the battery size, but looking through my old emails, I think it's a Group Size 86, 640 CCA. Is that too small? What are the rest of you guys using?
