Another CL fail!
Not a C3, but a C2 '63, Split Window Coupe that's been 'restomod'd' (cough) and the seller wants $185,000! It looks like it's been put together, with five different opinions, loose wiring, no radiator hose, no air cleaner, but it's got gold accents on the TPI runners!
Hilarious!
When I think Restomod, I envision lowered, on fat tires all the way around, not tall stock tires, with white lettering and worse, wire wheels? What were they thinking!

Restomod, means at least an attempt at the latest and greatest in technology, like an LS motor. Not a TPI!

Custom interior, but the gauges don't match and why is the dashboard all cracked and damaged? Or is that an 'artistic' effect?

The big question, is what were they thinking? My take on it, is that this was a modified C2 to begin with and they attempted to 'update' it. Disaster! A bunch of nice parts, mishmashed together, with no unity, whatsoever. It should've been left stock, or the way it was.

The car can be a real "turd" but it's "custom" and for a spell on CL every custom c3 was either a "mako" a "motion" or both.

Not saying all customs are low dollar and or hack jobs some are very nice some nicer and worth more than the car they were made from but that is the exception not the rule,
On the real deal side look at that member here that got a nicely modded 68 for like 4500.00
The car is really not that bad. Restore the front end to stock (Current one is illegal in most states I think), Get rid of those wheels and redo the dash and I would love to own it. The TPI set up I know is old tech but so what if it works.
