The carpets in my 73 aren't in bad shape but don't fit terribly well, weren't cut well and I dontthink were top of he line to begin with. I'm considering getting a new carpet set to put over the insulation that I'm putting in over the winter.
There is cut pile, 80/20 and who knows what else. What looks the best? Would I have to switch the carpets on the compartment covers? Carpet sets don't seem to include these.
I'm in the market for a carpet too, going between black and red I think you just swayed the decision
Not to derail but is that pillar trim wrapped in CF vinyl or..
I used the Cut Pile " Kit " from Corvette Central.....Love it , Looks great and was pretty easy to install.....
I think your seat belt receivers are flipped the wrong way, the release should be pointing towards the center of the car, not towards your abdomen.... great looking carpet, though.
Yeah ....thanks , its been pointed out before . I just put them in the way i took them out . You can see in my before pics that they are that way , lol . ill flip em around one day , ...shes still in my garage right now

I saw that... I know it's a pain to pull the seats. I have had mine in and out god knows how many times in the last 2 years. (seat overhaul 2 years ago, trans swap last year, engine swap this year )

Your choice.
...Would I have to switch the carpets on the compartment covers?...
Depends on what you choose. If you currently have loop carpet and switch to cut pile, you'd want to make the swap. You may want to consider doing the storage doors regardless of carpet choice since they will tend to look "older" after you replace the rear carpet.
...Carpet sets don't seem to include these...
Good quality carpet sets include carpet for the storage doors.
