Default 76 Stingray Heater Core

Hi folks

I am going to be replacing the heater core on my 76. A couple of questions for the experts:

What other parts besides the core should I order? while doing this? I have read about duct seals?

Also what pressure should I test the new core at? 6-7PSI?

Thanks!
Ike

Just did this in July, i got the kit from Willcox----yes it had lots of extra gaskets, but it had just what was required to get the job done..

Bottle of wine later, cut the rubber hoses 6" from the core, take LOTS of pictures BEFORE you take the console apart.......IMPORTANT HERE.

Did that on our 75, take notes as you take it apart.

Way too much wtf going on here.....enjoy...

Take your heater core to your local radiator/repair shop and have them test it.....AFTER you have installed it in the carriage, i had ti slightly bend the tubes to get it to fit. Got my core at Napa, no problems so far..

Take care, enjoy

Good luck, good karma, and Enjoy your time with it, because nobody could endure this much pain in a lifetime

AC or non AC car? makes a big difference in the procedure. Non ac is from the engine compartment and is very easy. If ac then good luck

A/C. But process looks pretty straight forward as long as I go slow, document and not force anything.

Any little tricks like the hidden bolt on the box?
