Default 73 hood same as 75?

Found a 73 hood on craiglist. Is this the exact same hood as used on the 75? I believe the hood that is on my 75 is a 77. The vendors sell hoods listed as 73-75 but many of them seem to be without the factory cowl induction which I would like to put back on.

According to Vette Vues Fact Book of the 73-77 Stingray 73-75 hoods had cowl induction. It was discontinued for 1976. Are 73 and 75 hoods exactly the same I don't know.

The 73 -75 would be the same .

Then you'll be wanting a 75 air cleaner assembly with the ring and seal. There was a little plastic intake screen at the rear that is often MIA.

Good huntimg

The basic design of the hood is the same through 77... just differences like cowl induction vent, hood prop mount and the latching positions. I put a 77 hood on my 75, and had to graft the hood latches from my original hood onto the 77 hood. Otherwise, it fit exactly like my original hood (mine was busted up at the front edge, and I hated that grill for the cowl induction). The hood prop mount was different too, but I just screwed mine in with no problem. Nice thing is... they're fiberglass! You can make it fit!

My parts interchange manual states that 73 - 75 hoods were the same.

Thanks All,
I found one locally. Going to go and look at it Monday or Tuesday. From the pictures it looks like it needs some repair on one of the edges. The hood that I have on there now is a 77 and is in excellent shape so I should be able to sell that one and recover what I spend on the new (used) hood.
