Default NOS Crossfire Intake

So after my lost summer on my disastrous decisions to replace the engine and tranny on my '82 Vette, I have some extra parts laying around. So I found a completely rebuilt '82 engine and tranny, professionally rebuilt with all new parts, for a great deal. Convinced me to buy that instead of rebuilding my own engine and tranny as it was very cost beneficial, and then planned on just pickling my own as numbers matching in case I decided to sell at a later date.

Unfortunately, the highly recommended auto shop I took it to was the worst experience of my life, and they ended up wrecking more than they helped. In the end, I did most of the tuning myself after replacement. But I found out my all original, numbers matching Corvette was not all original or numbers matching. So I was basically stuck with 2 engines and tranny's with no real residual value. I have already sold the rebuilt tranny to recoup some value. I am still sitting on the original, not numbers matching, complete engine including the Crossfire injection, although with 100,000 miles it need a complete rebuild.

In my quest for knowledge about the Crossfire injection, I happened upon an NOS Crossfire Intake, all complete from the manifold plate on up, in the original packing. I bought it because the price was right and I figured it was good to have in case the rebuilt one I purchased on the engine was not functional. Well the rebuilt one was from DCS and is fully functional, probably better than stock. So here I am sitting on this NOS Crossfire Intake.

Do you guys think I should sell this NOS Crossfire Intake to help recoup the $$$ I overspent on the engine/tranny replacement? Or will that be one of those holy grail parts that I should hang on to for a while? Just curious as its going to sit on a shelf collecting dust as long as the Crossfire I have is functioning properly, and I still have my original Crossfire Intake that I can always rebuild at a later time. I see used Crossfire Intakes on Ebay sell occasionally for a decent price, but never see NOS parts like this, so its hard to figure a value.

Any thoughts?

Holy grail?!!?...heads off a 69 L-88 might be a holy grail ( to some )
I never really get the whole vette for investment thing but the intake is only going to be of value to a thin one year only cult following, run it on ebay with some silly high reserve that you would take for it and let the world of bidding tell you what it's going rate is....

Give Dan Squires a call. He runs Dan's Carburetor Service out of one of the Chicago suburbs. He rebuilds these and can give you an idea as to what it is worth. cell: 630-408-2743.
I met him while cruising the parts area at Bloomington Gold a few years ago.
I have referred several people to him over time but have not heard anything back from these folks whether good or bad. I have heard from members of the Chicago crew that he has a good reputation though.

I know it is only a 2 year (really 3 year) part, but sometimes that is what makes parts worth more because they are less available. I also dabble in vintage go-karts and it is always amazing what some uncommon, nothing part can sell for, especially NOS. But I am less familiar with the Corvette parts market, that's why I asked.

Thanks for the info on Dan, I will give him a call. Depending on price it may also be worth my time to get my original TBI's rebuilt. With DCS closing shop, there isn't too many Crossfire expert shops to be found anymore.
