Default Gauge bezel installation tip

Hi everyone;
I just replaced an oil pressure gauge in my '73's vert gauge cluster and thought would pass along this tip that helped me concerning the bottom nuts that are so hard to access. It took an hour to remove these nuts. I went to the hardware store, searched and bought two "coupler nuts", that's how they were listed on the drawer. these nuts are long and can be easily started on the studs , then after getting them finger tight a few turns with a 3/8ths wrench, job done. I followed Willcox instructions and they were very helpful, they suggest starting these nuts before installing the bezel but I found this was not necessary using these nuts but still could be helpful. Removing these nuts are no longer a problem. I will post a picture of one of these nuts , sorry for the blurriness but you get the picture, pun intended.
Hope this helps someone.

That's a good tip. I think those are used for connecting threaded rod. I think I'll use them when I install the bezel. Thanks

Good tip - I took the next step and added a bracket for a more secure connection

This is of course upside down and I have some aftermarket gauges where the rdio was.

That's a great idea... would make reinstallation much easier.

I'll keep it in mind if I ever have mine that far apart again.
