You know, I'm looking at the photo of the Corvette and didn't even notice the Chevelle until now.
That's a Chevelle post SS car... Base trim, rubber floor mat, etc... In Monaco orange no less. I had a chance to buy a car just like this many years ago. It had an L-78, M-21, and 4.10 rear along with a factory chambered exhaust system. Somewhere, I have copies of the paperwork. Car had 8,800 miles on the odometer when I saw it. I still kick myself for not pushing harder to purchase it.
Coincidentaly, I purchased a '69 SS396 post car last winter. It's also a L78, M21, 4.10posi car that is missing it's motor and trans, cortez silver/black interior. I was lucky enough to find the BB sheet to confirm it's heritage. These are truly rare and special cars.
