1978 Power Steering
I was told today that the rack and pinion cylinder was leaking on my 78 Corvette. I called a parts company and they told me the 78 corvette did not have power steering and it must have been converted. I have had it 29 years and it wasn't converted my me. Comments???

If you have rack and pinion steering on a 78 it didn't come from the factory that way. But most of the 78's would have been fitted with power steering, are you sure it has R&P steering and its not the ram or the steering valve that are fitted as part of the std power steering option that are leaking?
