I am starting a new thread since the old ones are no longer accurate. Due to the birdcage issues and in order to repair the birdcage I have pulled the doors and the hood off today and pulled the interior as well.
Hey Jack, you interior looks a lot like mine. Also looks like you have a nice place to work on your project. Plenty of room, so what's next.
Hurst shifter nice. Pulling the seats out and carpets. So far so good.
Carry on

Get a new wiring harness! That one has seen better days and now looks completely shot. Of course it can wait, you're dealing with bigger issues, but it's something to put on the list. I'm only telling you thus, because you don't want to have to take the dash apart twice. Once is bad enough.

Agreed, wiring harness, fiber optic, and vacuum lines are sitting in my office.
After over 40 years of restoring classics and now being retired , I get tired just looking at a job that size. I do admire your ambition. Good Luck. It will be nice when done. Love the early C3's.
Im not looking forward to the work, but I do enjoy it especially putting things back together. I am thinking about what all needs to be removed from the engine compartment in order to pull the nose off and then I will look an see what the next step is. No work on the car today just playing around with my new welder trying to teach myself how to weld, so far so good I have not caught anything on fire.
Congrats on the GD. Get as much done on the vette as you can ASAP. Once she starts walking and hopefully visiting you more, you'll be spending more time caring for and spoiling her rather than working on the car.
