Very nice old picture and good looking car now!
I'm curious about the 'push bars' in the old picture?
Was there a race car to push?
I hope your car is around for 40 more!
Regards,
Alan
Very Sweet! you know your car was one that made me go with ZL-1 flares over L-88 I had both, just ZL-1's look so much more refinded thought out and just better to me...
tell me more on the mods, did you have them done to a new car at the time?

The push bars, i made about 7 sets i think, front & back. The set on the top picture was the first pair i made as they had no cross bracing or rubber inserts. I put them on to keep people from hitting the rubber bumpers in the apartment complex and saying OH that's OK its rubber. They sold for 150/300 depending on paint/chrome etc. I do know where 4 of the sets are but lost track of the others
I did have two pair chromed that had quick release latches so you could remove them in a few minuets.
Alan, yes i used to push cars with them, my 38 Pontiac 4 door, and a 49 Murc, i admit it looked odd and wish i had some pics of that.
Bats, i could of used those parts from the veedub stuff, cool looking parts. I saw something like those in JC Whitneys store one day. Yes i bought the car, drove it for a year and started to work on it.
Probably had maybe 5000 miles on it by then and saw that Eckler gold hatchback in Vette Vues mag, Oct 76 issue and had to do something like it.

I love those, GM should have done that, far better looking up than round lights,
I learned with the recessed quads that the wiring is different to ther round bulbs,
I have the square pop ups in my 69, some way I ended up with several sets of the square bezels if I ever break one I'm covered....
