Default Crate engine

I have been reading about the Blue Print crate engines ad must say I am
impressed with output verses horse power and torque. I understand the bit about engine dyno verses chassis dyno. I am also seeing over the past few years about hydraulic cam verses the solid roller cam. So my question here is, does a roller cam with matching rollers create more time keeping parts adjusted after so many miles where from what i know, a hydralic cam and rollers are basically trouble free, and need very little attention. I am deciding on a rebuild or crate engine witk some AFR heads ans some major parts. If the valves need adjusting on a regular basis, I will go the other route. Thanks to everyone for the help'
.

My BluePrint 383 is a full roller including roller lifters. The piece of mind I get not worrying about a flat lobe is priceless

I don't think they need any more adjustment than a standard setup. Basically none.

And I don't have to worry about buying special oil with zink.

I think you've gotten yourself slightly confused..

Both have hydraulic or solid lifter options whether it is a flat tappet or roller cam.

So, to answer your question either cam with hydraulic lifters will be set it and leave it "trouble free" and both cams with solid lifters will require more adjustment.

You should choose a hydraulic lifter roller cam.

Thanks to the both of you for the help. It does not take a lot to confuse me sometimes but I do get what both of you are talking about. I have been searching the forum about Blue Print engines and it seems to be a good product. Nothing is perfect every time so I get the fact someone might not be happy with their engine from them but this seems few and far between.
Thanks again,
Larry

Rollers are nice especially if they come in a sweet crate built deal but a normal street person doesn't need them,
And as far as street goes you couldn't give me solid lifters for free.
Pretty much with hydraulic set them right once and forget them, at least most people do...
