Modding gone wrong

Sorry, but I don't speak Spanish.

I am sure that guy loves his car.
whether or not you like it or hate it doesn't really matter. It's always easy to bash someone for thinking out of the box. Maybe if he painted it brown
you would like it better.

This is true and then people want to start trying to speak for others or use words like the "consensus" saying this or that is bad, seems a bit ****-ish to start spewing tripe that some name less face less group agrees with your narrow opinion because you say they do,
Lemmings will always drop that lime in their beer just because, but get over ones bad self and don't spew to the next fellow how HE should build his car chances are he doesn't like your build.

Most threads started bashing something are due to boredom and wanting to start the flames.

Just like I said from the start this threads car is too radical for most but the big killer for most is all that extra non sense on the rear, toss the roof station wagon wing, the turbo wing and the pointless rear braces and you have a very nice Greenwood racer look, again not everyones cup o tea. but no worse than, brown paint, odd tacked on hood vents, flame paint on c3's, things sticking out of c3 hoods, modern duck tails, or tilt front ends on flared 69's etc the list goes on Ad nauseam....

When he raced these he pushed each rule to the edge, this wasnt just a wild custom he did tests and studies that the different mods helped the car in some way or another, the street version was a spawn of the race car

Even if it was built standard Daytona Greenwood wide body ( remove the extra rear tripe ) it's a base auto 76 with no ac, they dont brag of suspension mods so I bet it has none, it's about a 8-10 k custom and only for that right person who would like it...

I passed not long ago on a very sweet wide body convertible big block for 12K it was an old school traditional Ecklers style wide body.

What's being missed and the part of all this is the vast difference between a finely built custom or a nasty patched together hack job, ( finely built doesn't mean you have to like the style )
Don't confuse where I am coming from, Jalopys are not normally hack jobs they are built low budget with what the builder can get but they are built well, like many of the cars people here on this forum own.

Hack jobs are another thing the car in this thread like it or hate it is not a hack job the glass and paint work is very good ( is your car that nicely done? ).
There are a lot of customs if not all of them out there that were made to suit the taste of one person, the owner if the car is built well I will respect that and the hard work that the owner or a shop put into it, doesn't matter if I like the style, personal taste is just that, but when over the top trashing a nicely built car happens I have to wonder the trash talkers true motivations, it's boring, I guess I just would rather spend my hobby time being positive not all negative..but if that is how a person gets their jollies...
This is what I consider a true over the top hack job.
