I did the carpet on my '79. Got it from Willcox.

It's not too difficult. Hardest part was stripping the old carpet from the compartment doors. You will probably have to get new frames for them.

I plan to do all leather one day, if I get my wife's approval. It's only worth the difference if it will be in your mind that it's not leather and you can afford to do leather. My interior looks close to new, but it's leather and vinyl and no matter how good it looks, it will never satisfy me until it's all leather. On the other hand, my wife says, why replace a perfectly good interior and in some ways she does make a good point. It also depends on how you perceive your car. For me it is not an investment, it's a hobby. It's never going to be financially worth the money I have put into it and I have no plans to ever sell it. Whatever you do, enjoy it and drive safely.

I did my 79 with Willcox merchandise. Very happy with the results. I didn't have to do the doors, but went with leather seats. Do your self a favor and get the seat covers already mounted on new foam.

I got my 79 carpet and the whole 3 door rear compartment unit from Willcox. Everything I get from Willcox has been first class. I got the all leather seats premounted on foam from Al Knoch. The leather and workmanship is unbelievable. I kept my original door panels for now.
