im trying to find a new set of wheels for my 1979 c3 but im having trouble finding wheels that will fit or more so the right size with backspacing im looking for a wider wheel then standard. I read another forum where a guy used 17x8 with 4" of backspacing in the front and 17x9.5 with 5" of backspacing in the rear im wondering if there is a size I can put both on the rear and front so the tires may be rotated that also have the clearance with the backspacing.
these are the wheels I would like but I don't think the sizes will work

The US Mags website shows that the wheel you referenced, is available in a 15x8, (and 15x9, for that matter) but they don't give a backspacing or centerbore dimension. Their page refers you to a "tech page", but it comes up blank.
The wheel would look really good on a C-3, as long as the fitment is correct. They do list a contact phone number, so I'd give them a call and get the details.
(BTW, caliper clearance in the backside of the wheel's spokes, is also a critical C-3 consideration)
I have '89 vette rims on my '72 which has later more flared fenders on it....like on a '78+ shark.... I used 2.5" VBP wheel adapters to keep the same wheel center line.....moved the ebrake cable tab to behind the rotor, many guys go on top of the arm.....I also drilled/tapped the lower A arms where the spindles act to limit the tires off the sway bar or frame....made no difference in parking lots....or U turns.....
well I have the stock 15" but I want a 17 or 18 inch wheel I did some more looking and there are guys that are using 18x8 on all four wheels with out modifications to the car including e-brake relocation. and should all 18x8 have the same dimensions?

I've git 17x8 w/4" BS on front and 18x9.5 w/5" BS on the rear. I would think you would be okay with either 17x8 or 18x8 w/4" BS all the way around, just pay close attention to tire sizes.
Sure 18 x 8 with a 4" backspace and a 255/45-18 tire will be 27" tall and 8" wide just like the stock size.
I just bought mine.
im glad those will fit but I really want a set like butnik x gasser wheels or more so with more spokes to me torque style wheels look better on a chevelle or Camaro. corvettes need more spokes like the c5 zo6 wheels or something

Budnik builds a great high quality wheel. They will build it to your specs. So there will be build time involved. Remember you get what you pay for. The cast wheel you linked to is not in the same league quality and price as a custom built billet wheel. I'm sure you know that.
Good luck with what ever you decide.
