Hi Paul,
Happy New Year to you too.
You posted some things that made me think maybe your car might be moving on without you… I hope not!
I'm wishing you good health and happiness in 2015 and beyond !
Regards,
Alan

Alan,
Perhaps one more year. But that does not detract from the pleasure I have derived from the Forum over the years!
A little story. I am mellow this evening. When the Wife and I were first married in 1975 we lived in a high-rise apartment. I couldn't take that kind of living so a few months later we bought a three-bedroom bungalow with 10% down, all our savings. We took occupancy on December 29. But there was a little problem: we didn't have any furniture. So New Year's was done on milk cartons with take out Chinese food and fake champagne (it was called Baby Duck). But it was fun.
Tonight guess what we had? And every New Year since 1975. Yes, take-out Chinese food but in recent years with a good Canadian Chardonnay.
Sorry to be personal but at this time of year I reflect on life matters. A friend of my sister-in-law died last night of cancer at the tender age of 52. Drive those Corvettes! You never know.
No apololgy for feeling melancholy, Paul, especially after losing someone dear. This holiday has weathered all sorts of ups and downs and I hope that your friend is remembered throughout time, as appropriate.
I do live closer to Lars than many of our friends in CF. I'm guessing that I live within a 45 minute drive south, to his home. A new-to-me Corvette friend that I made early in 2014 knows him well and I have been wanting to make the acquaintence of the world-renown Lars for many years.
I think I shall put that on my list of things to do in 2015.
