What did you do to your C3 today?

[QUOTE=Wanna be;1588686302]I purchased new vacuum actuators and hoses for the headlights and wiper door. The previous owner had taken all vacuum components out for headlights and put electric in for lights and left nothing for wipers. Also purchased correct 4sp shifter it had a hurst shifter in it which I hated ( the Stars had to align to get the thing in reverse, because it didn't have a T handle to lift to put into reverse.
What did you guys and gals do?[/QUOTE
]
What didn't you like about the hurst shifter?
I just bought a 72 with one in it and like it. Are they not as good as an original?

I finished the Wiper system. Put in the electrical by pas switch and adjusted the wiper sweep.
Also put on new correct wiper blades - cheaper than store replacements..
System works great now.

Backed the old girl out of the garage and gave her a bath. First wash since Sept. 2016. No, I didn't drive it, just gave it a little clean up.
Even the original factory lacquer likes to be clean.
I'm getting too old for this thing after owning it for 44 years....I need to start enjoying my senior years.
Why do old men park corvettes in the garage and don't drive 'em?
May 23rd and yes, it was hot!

Finish wiring the new HEI to the MSD box, started it and set the timing, at least it's close enough for right this minute, will double check once it can move around a little.
I'll have to deal with the distributor shield eventually but not right this moment.
Next up, new magnaflows are waiting to go in while it's up in the air

So get in it and start enjoying it.
It is a beautiful car, I wish it were mine.
Get up early Saturday morning, go to your favorite place for breakfast and take the girl on a date

Finally took some time to put her out of the garage.
It cranked right up. I was pleasently surprised. That carb from Lars is really good.
Got some pieces for the power window relay and test fitted it.

2019 Maiden Voyage - Feels some good to get back out
Made it out - Made it back
Took my daughter out for another drive up along the lake (cold and windy today but at least not raining for a change)
Made it out - Made it back again!
Everything seems to be functioning although I've got a snap /tick / pop in the radio that wasn't there before (not the typical tied to RPM one either, seems worse when going slow and almost completely goes away above about 40) but anyway, something in the new HEI is giving me some grief, I'll have to take the cap off and double check the coil ground. (running off the MSD 6a box so there's not much else in the dizzy at this time)
And installed the new PRNDL (again with the console plate back off for the umpteenth time this spring, hopefully for the last time now)
Next 3 days look like rain so maybe I'll get to the mufflers in-between building the ark and gathering the animals

Finally the weather is picture-perfect today and the wife and I went on an absolutely amazing Corvette convertible ride. Having just had the car painted over winter and refreshing the interior this spring I'm just now getting good and acquainted with this car and I absolutely love it. Is there some place that Corvette owners can go to get copies of their build sheets and window stickers?
