Well, the new ZZ454 is in and I've been fighting with new headers- sidepipes for a couple weeks. Nothing fits correctly. The design workmanship of both Doug's and Hookers were horrible. So, today, I took my old chrome Hookers and notched the flange to clear the headbolts. Tomorrow I will install them temporarily to get the engine running and then have a set custom made.

Nothing...absolutely nothing because I spend too much time trying to to replace the rotors on my G8 and failing. I think the e-brake the shoe is giving me issues. Going at them again tonight.

That's better than beating on rotors for a long time and not having them budge lol.

Painted all 4 wheels with Eastwoods silver argent wheel paint, had 4 brand new BFG T/A's (225:70 R15) mounted, cleaned that blue coating off the raised white letters, and dressed the tires with Zaino's perfect tire gloss (not too shiney), cleaned and polished the derby covers and trim rings.
Turned out good, and the ride is fantastic, think I'll go get some ice cream as a reward.

I finally got my parts to finish the engine. Put on belts, hoses, fan, fan clutch and filled with coolant. Stabbed the dizzy after priming oil system. Was about to install cap and wires but mother nature rained on the parade. Rain out until tomorrow.

Hopefully tomorrow we get her fired up and running.

If you don't mind telling me, how much is this paint job gonna run? Including all the body work that may have been needing to be done.

I'm curious what full paint jobs for these are going for nowadays.

Too funny, thanks Mike. Hopefully you, Mooser, Brian , Jerry and a few other close by C3ers can get together this summer. I am planning a trip through the Appalachians down to TOFD and wherever else I end up late Sept or early October as my kickoff to retirement. If the C$ recovers into the $.90's I'll likely add fuel injection this season.

Couldn't agree more, it would be great you see you guys. The car looks fantastic Greg. What rims did Les go to on his car?

I got the new engine running and timing set. Still have a few issues to sort out before a test drive. Water pump pulley rubbing against water pump. Starter hanging up on flywheel. Battery keeps discharging although volt meter showing 13 + volts.

Tomorrow I hope to get it all figured out.

Got the first flared fender bonded in and cut the rear fender out. Hopefully have the 4 inch rear fender roughed in tomorrow.

We added fuel injection, and a new gas tank about a month ago into the '74.
