Drove up to Candia Fist Stop for a Thursday night show!! Lots of traffic but I had a few instances where I could kick in the outboard carbs to clean out the old gas......thats my excuse and I'm sticking to it

I installed the fuel pressure gauge, the air cleaner, 3” element, and the clutch Z bar assembly.
I have everything buttoned up and ready to go to the painter.
I just need to install the front frame horn/vacuum tank.

Nice to assemble something that doesn't need modifications for once!!!! Love that feeling. I can't wait to see the paint!

I got the speaker wires spliced into the new harness after making dinner and ammo.
The whole radio thing was going to wait for more important things, however the company I work for did a gift card thing for being here 35 years and the choices were Bath n Booty works, American Eagle Aerie (60 dollar ladies drawers), or Crutchfield. So, 3 Crutchfield gift cards and a little more later, I got the retro sound with all the goodies.
Since it has rained every day here, I started on it.

Yes. Last night was 6.5 Skan which is 6.5x55 Swedish Mauser in modern metal so it can be loaded at higher pressure. For a rifle that will be my 1000 yard rifle after I get my distinguished in service rifle.
I load a lot of 223 for short line (2-300 yards) and mid range (600yds) Hunting stuff as needed.

I tweaked my back (sciatic nerve) and haven't done much physically on the car for a month or so. I'm at the point where I'd like to push the completed rolling frame into the corner of the shop and begin work on the body. As its currently sitting on a version of Alan71's body dolly, I've been thinking about how I was going to work on the underside and decided that now is the time for a lift. I've still got two kids in college so the high-end names weren't in the budget, but I ordered an Atlas Garage Pro 8000 EXT four post lift as it has good reviews and some folks I know have had the standard height version for awhile now and they've been hassle free (other than the poorly written instructions). I built the shop with the intent of getting a lift, so it has a 14-ft ceiling and the extra height on the taller lift will be welcomed. Its scheduled to arrive on June 4th.

New motor time!!!
So Monday 5/13 I took the 1979 down to San Diego to begin the 502 install. 10 miles from the shop, the top radiator hose blows. Tow truck ride later, she started right up to put her in the bay.
The Corvette Shop had the 350 out in a heartbeat. 502 test fit. I'm like a kid in the candy store.
350 ran just a little low on HP.
Come and get it!! Ran like a chanpe to the end.
Lowering in for a test fit
Slid in like a glove.
Sooo Boss.
