I see a picture of it with the 69 front clip on painted blue where the tops of the fenders at the base of the windshield are short of the top of the doors and the hood, and then in the next picture the tops of the fenders at the base of the windshield match the doors and hood. Did you paint the 69 clip twice or what?

Not sure what all you mean, I kept the hood which is longer and doesn't have the wiper door for that reason. Must be the sun and clouds since the car in previous posts was painted only once.

Also the color is Le mans blue which is the original color code, the car was painted red at one time, this car I purchased off the internet and was told only thing that it needed was a new tach cable? LOL The car was dropped off faster than a Pitstop at a race track. Almost everything from square headlights to no vacuum equipment, I could take all day listing all that was missing or bad. At least now I can drive it without tow trucks following me and since I had so much invested in fixing everything, I decided to go the extra mile and get what I wanted and knowing the history and expense its what I wanted. Again Thanks to all the advise and feedback I have received so far and hope this Xmas finds everyone in good Health.

What is the status of the '73 clip? Did you sell it?

Happy for you,

I still have most of the brackets, lights, grilles , vacuum tank, and etc. The front clip is at the shop in Kingman, When they took it off someone used epoxy on part of it and it broke but they have all the parts and per Lee the owner it could be easy to repair. I didn't realize at the time all of the parts you would need in replacing the front clip but I am pleased the way it turned out.

The area outlined in yellow in the two pictures below. In the first one the top of the fender at the base of the windshield is an inch or two below the top of the door. In the second picture the top of the fender at the base of the windshield is even with the door. When putting a 73-79 hood on a 69 front end the part of the fender circled in yellow is short of the hood, did you do fiberglass work on that part of the fender to get it to line up with the door and hood or what?

Here maybe this will be a little clearer. When you put a 73-79 hood on a 69 front clip the top of the fender at the base of the windshield will end roughly where I've put the red line. normally a fender trim moulding will go on the 69 fender where the red line is and line up with the top of the door. How did you get your fender to line up with the hood and door?

Now I understand, and when I was ordering parts I question that also. I am not sure but will ask and get back too you. Paragon made the one piece front end and maybe they made it that way and if you still had the shorter hood you would trim it off is my quess. I had a 69 convertible that the piece your talking about came off and I had to re glue it. LOL. Thanks
