Default Trim ring Purchase

Hey everyone, went to Pomona swap meet today and bought a set of O.E. trim rings for the 68. Id describe them as nice driver quality(small blemishes here and there and one small dent). What do you think, did I overpay?, good deal?, going rate? Paid $160. Thanks

Looks good to me. The attaching clips look rust free, which is a good sign.

Hi d,
They look nice for that money if you can use them the way they are.
The "going rate" depends on EXACTLY what rings they are.
Determining JUST what they are is difficult with out seeing more of the back of the rings. They appear to be later rings with clips that are held in place by a little flange rather than a spot weld and the rings seem to have been re-crimped in order to re-align the clips with the valve stem hole.
But at this point none of that matters. You'd pay a LOT more for four new similar rings that are only marginally nicer in appearance.
So you did good!
Regards,
Alan
