In the process of installing a borgeson power steering conversion in my 68 427 vette. The car was a manual steering car originally. Slugged my way through the install until I hit a roadblock today.
The alternator bracket seems to be too wide of a gap for my alternator, back of alternator hits valve cover.
Not sure if I installers something wrong or if I have the wrong alternator.
Are you using all the brackets for a PS setup? The brackets are different from manual to power. If you are using the stock PSi,p and brackets and the brackets from PS car it should all work.

I'm using the brackets that Borgeson supplied. The car originally had manual steering.
Try the shorts. I suspect that will cure your problem. Unless you use a custom upper alternator bracket like some do with the Helm joints on the ends.
Thanks for the advice!,
The brackets seem stock. They were supplied by Borgeson.
The other problem is the bracket that is supposed to line up with the pivot side of the alternator is off about a half a bolt diameter... Pulling out my hair and don't have much left!
