Default Accessory Vs. Ignition Wiring Question

I didn't want to assume anything since it's kind of important stuff so here is what I'm assuming so far:

Key positions don't say what they are on my '69 column but I assume:
Off, ACC, IGN, Start?

ACC is on during: ACC/IGN, Off during crank?

IGN is on during: IGN and start. Off in ACC mode?

My wiring diagram wasn't very specific when it came to how the fuse box wiring was actually done behind the scenes so I made some modifications. Thought maybe it could help others if they ever get into some deep electrical stuff.

I'm dealing with my LS1/T56 wiring clean up and when they say "switched" I assume they mean IGN for most things...not ACC.

I wanted to know about the fuse box wiring and it's good I looked into it.

The 3: BAT/ACC/IGN pins most use in the middle of the fuse box are nice to have BUT are mooching off of a fused connection already.

So if you use power from the IGN pin. it's a come through a 20A fuse already and you share that now with the backup lights.

Maybe '69 is different, but on my '71 the key positions are ACC-OFF-RUN-START. So to turn on accessories I turn the key past off.

Exactly this. It's the way they all were for many years. My wife still turns the key on my 68 back to ACC and thinks she has it OFF.

That's kinda what I was thinking it was at first till I went to look at the steering column.

I saw it had a "lock" position I wasn't able to go into without the key in I guess.

Guess that doesn't mean anything as it could still go: Lock, ACC, Off, IGN, Start...
