Dream on!
Wish I could post pics. The exterior is bad enough, but the interior and engine compartment, defy description!

My '74 was a barely running, shell of a car (the dash, looked much like that one there, but without the rot). Oh, we have an 'affinity' for each other, all right! 'Sassy' owns me! I traded a 2003 Harley Softail, worth about $7K for her and so far, have sunk at least another $8K to $10K easy (I'll never count the receipts I've saved and I'm tossing the new ones, that I have!).
And I haven't even painted her yet! I was talking to my buddy, in our Industrial Center, who paints BMW's, Benzes and Audi's about painting Sassy. You see, she was in a front end collision and had the whole clip replaced, with a non-Factory, cheepee clip, that has a zillion tiny little ripples all over it (I knew that, when I got her, because there was no nose emblem or holes for one). So my buddy was talking, that we'd take the whole thing down to fiberglass and add a layer of fiberglass on top, to smooth it out. And he'd still do it for $4K (which is a 'bro' deal). I'm still mulling it over. So far, she's still shiny, even with the patina
But, saying all that, I'm glad I rescued that bitch. She was everything she promised to be, from the second I saw her in the CL ad: She's a wild little street beyatch, that loves to get flogged on. Revs up, clutch out and pedal down and she's gone! Sassy loves, loves the drag strip, getting sideways in the burnout box and then lining up, with a snarl on the starting line, both of us, waiting for that last yellow to dim. In fact, we're going back this Saturday, to Fontana, for the Street Legal Drags, full 1/4 mile. Tonight, tighten up bolts.
Moral of the story; Whover buys a POS, like I did, or any of the ones pictured above, better know what that car is going to give them in return. My Sassy fulfilled the promise and I drove her in today, walking in with my heart pounding, my adrenaline up and feeling, very, very alert! There are those cars out there, that have 'personality' to them, believe it! You know them, when you see them. They stand out from the rest of their brethren.
