Default Date Coded Parts

Is there any listing out there for what parts on our C3's that have date codes?

I would venture to say if it had a broadcast code...it has a date code. Consider, for example, fan belts, axle carriers, alternators, engine blocks, transmissions, carbs, radiators.

Is there a listing? I am sure individuals probably have lists for their vehicles but I have yet to see a universal list.

Hi,
I've never seen a complete list of date coded parts.
It would be quite a long list though. I have about 60 items that I've noted from my 71.
For instance many of the interior parts have date codes on them that people often don't think of when considering dates.
For example:
Trim Tag
Certification Label
Gauges
Seat Frames
Seat Covers
Seat Belts
Shoulder Belts
Door Panels
Interior Soft Trim Pieces
Interior Hard Trim Panels
Carpet
Battery
Jack
Fiber Board Tray
Roof Panel Storage Bags
Glove Box Items
The Bird Cage
Also something to consider is that the configuration of some parts changed and thus a part may be typical for a car built in a certain time period but not typical for a car built earlier or later. In a way that part is dated by the time period when it was being produced and used in production.
An example would be the center gauge bezel that changed slightly between 71 to 72 production.
There's probably about this many items for the engine compartment, chassis and running gear, and exterior, too.
Obviously the dates on some of the interior parts I listed can't be seen until the car is disassembled. But they're there never the less.
Regards,
Alan
