Default weather stripping

Do I need to use adhesive on the t-tops except for the loose ends.It just would seems to me the plastic clips and screws hold them in place. The previous owner had adhesive all over so I can't tell if there was anything between the tops and the weather stripping. Thanks in advance for any input.

Corvette T-Top Weatherstrip Install and Adjustment Instructions 1968-1977E

When you install new weatherstrips, you'll almost always need to adjust the tops.. Sometimes you get away without doing it.. but there is always the chance. When you try the top for the first time make sure you don't fold over the inner section of the rubber before you lock them down.

It's not really a hard job at all... take your time and I'll sure you'll have success.

Never glue the weatherstrip in the area over top your head (hits the top of the door glass), until after you've adjusted it to fit against the glass properly. We adjust it to the the glass tighten the bolts and then place a line of masking tape to mark the spot. We then remove the weatherstrip apply the glue and then re-install it a final time.

Where are you sending the message.. if it's going to specialoffer@willcoxcorvette.com that address is a automated address.

Just email me at support@Willcoxcorvette.com or post your question in the sale thread. I see it three times a day.

Well, I decided to try to locate the T-top lock plate back that I removed the screws from. Found it laying inside the pillar where the seat belt is installed. Was able to retrieve it. To reinstall it you have to remove the interior panel and then you can reach where the lock plate goes. See photos. Help...Still having problem with new seal being too dense and lock pin is off by1/8 inch...and wont go in to the lock plate hole. Any suggestions?

Lock plate that fell off when screws were removed

Remove this panel to reinstall lock plate.

Lock plate gets put back in this area.
