Default Vette Birthday thread

Today is my Vette's 40th birthday! So say happy Birthday to your Vette here.

This is how it looked when it 1st arrived.

The 383 built by Gardner Competition Engines (East Claridon, OH) goes in. 462 HP, 459 ft #s Tq

Almost ready to paint. I had the 80 style front and rear bumpers molded in, as well as the Indy style front spoiler and front valance.

Finally, 2014 Corvette Cyber Grey Paint is on and the interior has been started

Looking good and happy birthday to whatever its name is. Jennifer (my '76) turns 40 next year. She's getting gloss black paint and Dougs sidemount headers and pipes.

I haven't named her yet. I'm waiting to see how she drives, her "personality".

BTW, I was born in 1974.

Can't believe 75 people looked at this thread before and no one wished happy bday before me. Also 120 people and only 2 wtf?

Well don’t I feel like a heel...like the worst owner ever! My 1982 turned 33 on the 15th of February and I completely missed posting anything. The picture below is a scan of my build sheet and back of title. Note the circles, car was built 2/15/82 and I bought the car 2/15/2004, twenty-two years to the date she was born…destiny for sure! The other picture is of the build sheet, still attached to the tank and in really great condition.

Happy Birthday to your Corvette and a belated Happy Birthday to mine!

Happy birthday to your car. Personally I'm going to have my '68 done by her 50th birthday. 3.5 years to get it done.

Happy Birthday to your baby. Mine turned 40 just a few weeks ago. And I've had it for 35 years.
