Default Rear Astrovent door hard line source

I need to replace the hard line that goes from the heater control along the tunnel, across behind the drivers seat and up the door jamb.
I've got a bunch of 1/8 copper gauge line, simple, easy to bend, etc. Just wondering if anyone had some source for steel line, maybe less likely to get accidentally crushed or kinked or whatever.

Needs about 7 feet

Hobbies? Farm? ???

Thanks
M

Thanks, that's the one I need, just need to find a source for that tube that I might be able to get up here in the frozen North

Those little $20 items turn into about $40 once they convert, ship, brokerage and tax me.
Really feel for those guys over in Australia, Belgian, etc. must be obscene.

I was just able to run the rubber vacuum line all the way back and eliminate most of the steel line.

I second this. I build all of my high pressure lab equipment with Swagelok fittings and my equipment runs at between 3 and 4000 psi.

About the Astrovent mechanism. I've bought one on ebay so I know what it looks like. My 68 SB Convertible (May 1968) does not have an Astrovent. (It's non-AC). My 70 BB does not have an Astrovent. It's an AC car. It's bewildering to me why I'm missing this part.

Hi 68/70,
There was a discussion about this a few weeks ago.
My recollection is that 68 cars only had rubber 'flaps', no mechanism.
Your 70 left St.Louis with an astro-ventilation mechanism if it's not an a/c car, why it's not there now I don't know.
I'd be interested in seeing the block-off plates or whatever has been installed where the flaps and mechanism should be on both cars.
Regards,
Alan
