steering column.
I am having problems getting the shaft lock retainer clip in. I have depressed the assembly as far down as it will go. I have 1980 with a steering column out of a 79. Its mounted and in place.. I have to order order the insulated. Can some one help me.

This column wasn't right when I I stalled it. The telescopic did not work well. I didn't brake well. Now it does.
I will be taking it back apart when I get the piece that insulates and keeps horn from blowing all the time. I had to put it back together while the part order was fresh on My mind.
I think I will rebuild the original column that come out of the car and do a pictorial on it.
Oh yeah seems I am talking to myself. Ah who cares it works. Lol
