Can someone please post a photo of this area with carpet installed (1968 coupe)? Looks like I am going to have to cut the carpet piece that goes over the wheel hump to clear this round bar. But I don't want to cut anything until I'm sure. I was under the impression that the carpet I purchased should have been precut already so am a little surprised that this relief or clearance wasn't already put in.

That is the rubber drain hose. You will have to cut the carpet for
that piece. You can see on my 73, I also replaced the hose on
mine because it was deteriorated.

Hi 68,
Perhaps this will help too.
This is the underside of the original wheel well carpet and underlayment.
It should give you an idea of the size and location for the length of the slit needed and the size of the circle that must be cut out.
Good Luck!
Regards,
Alan
