I used some Black weatherstripping glue that I had left over from
replacing all my old weatherstrip. The seal on the top of my
support had two pins, one on each side as in picture and I
glued the seal to the end of the support, but left the end where
the hinges are free.

It is an acceptable glue....it does to be applied to both surfaces.....but I prefer using contact cement due to being a bit more 'watery' and soaking into the foam a little bit better...but hat is just me.

Donnie:
On another note...and NOT picking at your car...But you are aware ...that in this photo....that your right inner splash shield is not correctly installed. It is needing to be wrapped over the top and under your upper A-arm at the area where the shock absorber is located....and the 'tabs' in the shield go under the A-arm also to be correct. Just though I would let you know because they look new.

Thank you Dub, I just guessed at the proper installation. I couldn't
really make out the diagram in my AIM.
I am going to correct that now.

Thanks again and I always welcome any comments on my restoration.

I used the 3M black weather strip adhesive last time. But after Dub's post I think I'll try his recommendation. And thank you Dub for pointing out how those shields should fit. I've been wondering about that for some time now.

I would recommend weather strip adhesive. The correct way to use it it to apply it to both sides, let it dry until it's tacky. Apply one more coat on one side, let it dry until almost tacky, then lay it down.
