1974 Engine Pics
Does anyone have some detailed shots of an L-48 engine compartment for a 74? Would love to see some images of a original or restored engine bay.

Check out the 73 Spot, have pics of the 73 engines there and they are basically the same.

Hi Steve,
If you google '74 Corvette engine' and then click on 'images' you'll see literally hundreds of sb and bb engine bays.
Some VERY nice looking!!!

Here is a picture of the engine bay in my 74taken Memorial day 1974. The car was delivered in March and it was a daily
driver as most were back then.

Hi RV,
That's an interesting picture! Lot's of things to notice!
I especially like the careful 'trimming' of the gutter!
Regards,
Alan

This is a 74 L-82, that I owned in the 70's. It had about 30,000 miles on it, when I took this picture.
Externally, the L-48 and L-82 are pretty much identical, except for the valve covers. The A.I.R. system had been remove from the engine, but over wise it was bone stock.

Wow, the engine bay looked good before and looks great after! Was it an engine swap, of a dress up and distributor change on the stock engine?

Stock engine. Car had been sitting in a garage for 33 years after the owner died. Only has a little over 11,000 miles on it.

Wow, how do you find these that capsule. When I bought my '74, it had about 50,000 miles and had been sitting for 15 years. It is a pretty clean car that is all original, but your engine bay is like new!
