Default ... and more Bubba questions ...

So Bubba has been so far into this car it just makes me happy to have taken it right down. I'm sure I know the answer but on a 71 should there be upper and lower bump stops on both sides? What is the proper orientation of the springs, meaning the tighter wound section of the front springs up or down in the spring pocket? Bubba had one in opposite the other.

Inquiring minds want to know!

Dave

PS if the bump stops are required on both sides upper and lower I will need one of each.

Hi P,
The upper a-arm stops are mounted on the frame and the lower on the a-arm itself.
The closer spaced coils are installed into the spring pockets in the frame.
There's a particular orientation of the end of the spring in the frame and the seat in the lower arm.
There are times that even with a very modified and bubba'd car it's good to have the AIM.
Regards,
Alan
