I've had this trailer hitch for many years and pulled it out to sell but don't know if it's from A C2 or C3 since I have several of each. It is stamped 'COR 3' and made by Drawtite. Any hitch experts out there? Thanks in advance.
I don`t know... but it looks exactly like the one that was on the back of our 71 coupe when we bought it. But it was bolted to the bottom of the bumpers, which left it at a very awkward angle... pointing up. I couldn`t imagine trying to hook a trailer onto it at that angle. And to be bolted only to the bumper, it couldn`t be a very heavy load to be pulled either!
I was thinking it was frame mounted and thought it was for a C2 but was told not. Too many years and cars have passed since I took it off. That is a weird angle and doesn't look that safe but it does look similar. Mine is stamped max load 1,000#. Thanks for the reply. Dusting off some old parts and raising some cash.

The ends that curve up look way too shallow to reach the frame. And if it was frame mounted somehow, I think it would be very close to the ground. It almost has to be bumper mount.... but again that angle is not right. If you get a difinitive answer, please let me know... then I can decide what to do with mine too!
I had a hitch installed on my '70 small block vert. It was hinged to allow access to the spare tire and went in fairly deep to bolt onto the frame. Wish I could remember more, but my brain is on vacation.
Pulled the same one off my 72. Following along as I am curious about them also. The story on mine was car used to be owned by a welder who pulled a small trailer around with welding equipment for work.
A trailer hitch attached like this would be very, very weak. My opinion.
That`s exactly what I thought too. I don`t even know how it would work at that angle though!
It was also the FIRST thing to come off when we started dis-assembly, but it`s not going back on!
I will be finished with my '77 project shortly. I'd love to take off for a cruise through the Adirondack Mtns. (upstate NY) I'd love to take my road bike with me. How dumb would it be to put a bike rack on a vette? Where would I find one?
Thanks, Todd
