Default Strut rod bushing

Good evening,

Having purchased a suspension rebuild kit, the new strut rods have concerning features - there is no rubber 'washer' at the front of the strut rod that connects to the wheel hub.

Where as the original - the bushing was flush with the grommet as seen here.

I am about to put this back together - should I be concerned about missing the extra rubber here?

Thanks

Hi,
Might the difference be you're comparing the 63-74 1-1/4" bushing with the 75-79 1-3/8" bushing?
Also, notice the note describing the protruding rubber on the 63-74 bushing.
Regards,
Alan

Not exactly. The original strut rods definitely have a rubber bushing that is flush - like the poly bushing shown below.

The question I guess I am asking is: can I put this strut rod on that car as is?

Just feels like it really is missing that extra piece of rubber....
