Your mind doesn't know the difference if it's hands free or not. It is still distracting you from driving. You really shouldn't be running your mouth to anyone sitting in the car either. I get so tired of people who cant hold a constant speed because they won'the shut their trap. And if you smoke roll up your window and use your ash tray. We have so many road side fires here because of flicked cigarettes out their window.

But the good thing is no body got hurt the kid had INS and you might get a new paint job out of it. All and all it might of been a good day.
Since you brought it up it did look there was some peel on bumper previously. Not enough to bother me, but like you say if it's in the booth anyway.

Paint was actually very good previously, but I don't remember the color code and neither does the gentleman who painted it 8 years ago. I'm afraid we're going to have a hard time matching it.... Might as well paint the whole thing Should I pick a new color?!?

Hwy finwolf...I could recall your name posted your car over in that 63 c3 thread...

I understand but two wrongs do not make a right 3 lefts do...

Doesn't matter if someone does something unsafe for years and gets away with it...new unsafe things will always be invented.
If something IS unsafe then it should be a no-no regardless of "how" unless it is.
In many cases the same people doing other unsafe things while driving are all hot over people texting while driving and want to try to make it different because it's not the one they do...it's bad so vote and outlaw it.
I would like to see reports that show the age of the people texting or talking on cell phones who cause accidents, while it's flawed because younger less seasoned drivers will have more accidents than people who have been driving many years, the direct result of it being because of cell phones is a question.
I am betting a shocker will be more of the cell related accidents are older not younger because the younger people develop automatic ability to multi function as in texting better while driving than older people who didn't grew up doing it, .it becomes far easier to do for them than an older person, who for example cant even work a lap top..here is an example take an older "happy hour" crowd for 10-20 plus years they get a buzz on and drive home nightly, this is automatic in their brains, no less safe or any safer than texting but just as automatic as texting is to the youngsters.

Before any of this is taken wrong the only thing I want to do is take the shine of texting and driving off the young...no driver of any age should text and drive or do any of the other unsafe things...which do include drinking, eating, smoking, loud tunes, videos playing etc etc...

Sorry to hear about the accident to your vette. But the good side is no one was hurt, and the other person did have insurance to cover your loss. Now its just going to be a pain finding the right body shop and paint shop.

but glad to see you are ok.

HAHA!

Yes, I agree!

Took it to a Corvette place in Dallas. No kidding, there is concern about matching the paint. So, it's POSSIBLE I could get a paint job out of it.

Now you will be sitting up at night wondering what color to paint it.
I hope it all turns out well for you.

Do to all the body work that was done to my car I have a real high agreed value you on it. so if it ever gets hit they will have to fix it because they will not want to put out the money. But I hope I never have to go there.

That's funny. It seems a lot of yellow c3's end up being painted some sort of red throughout their life. lol.

I'm really having a hard time deciding. I like the yellow, but Ive always loved a red Vette! The yellow does stand out more and it sure gets a lot of comments.
