Default Wiper timing

The wipers on my 74 do not clear each other when tuned on. Is there a way to adjust them? Also when in the parked position there is a lot of pressure on them pulling them towards the stop at the bottom of the windshield. Any ideas would be great. Thanks.

Where the wiper mechanism connects to the motor the arms are slotted and allow for some adjustment. Keep in mind that they are usually set with some force pressing them against the stop (on mine it's something like set them 1" below the stop)

Yours should look vaguely like this, loosen off the two nuts slightly and slide the linkage whichever way you need

I thought that was for adjusting, but asking never hurts. Many thanks.
