Rocker Panel Screws
This is with regards to my '81.
Like most I have lost several screws that hold the rocker panels on. The screw thread size is a #8 x 1", but it is the head size that is special. I thought they were just normal oval head screws...so I got a package of #8 stainless steel oval head screws...nope...heads are much larger than OEM and so the screw head is not recessed into the rocker panel.
Soooo.....is this a GM / Corvette only screw? Or is there a source that has these mini oval head screws that are not $2 each?

AS you know the screws are 10-24 machine screws....with a taper rounded head.
I have some at my shop...but can not remember where I got them...because I have seen slight differences in heads of machine screws before.
All I can say if it that big of a deal that they are correct....do like I do....buy the correct fasteners.
